About this Sourcebook

The "Instructional Design Sourcebook" may not be a perfect name for this site. The site *is* about instructional design, and it is a sourcebook for use by faculty in rethinking their own courses. But it is meant to be an organic sort of thing, less of a published recipe book, and more of a three-ring binder, a Trapper Keeper for stuff that works.

The Sourcebook is maintained by Keene State's Center for Engagement, Learning & Teaching, so an awful lot of the stuff in here relates to core concerns of CELT: effective use of educational technology, incorporation of experiential learning into curriculum, and use of open content to enhance instruction. But don't be fooled by this -- if there are resources you would like to see here that you think would help you teach better, let us know. And if you have resources you would like to share, PLEASE send them to us. Don't worry if they are the sort of thing that we may find useful -- if they are useful to you, they are probably useful to us.

Here's a short list of the sorts of things we are looking for:

  • Review Sheets
  • Full Syllabi and Reading Lists
  • Syllabus Boilerplate (e.g. Cell Phone Policy)
  • Class Activities
  • Lesson Modules / Lesson Plans
  • Unit Modules
  • Rubrics
  • Worksheets
  • Checklists / Guidelines
  • Case Studies
  • Links to useful Open Content Repositories
If you have any of these you would like to share, please send them to mcaulfield@keene.edu.
